Perlane® and Restylane® in Houston, TX
Dr. Joseph Perlman offers Perlane® and Restylane® to patients throughout Spring, Houston, The Woodlands, Atascocita, Conroe, Pasadena, Baytown, and the surrounding areas.
What Are Perlane® and Restylane®?
Perlane® and Restylane® are dermal fillers that plump the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds. They are made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. This acid is hydrophilic or “water loving,” so it attracts and binds water molecules to help maintain the volume of your skin. As hyaluronic acid gradually degrades, each molecule binds to more water. Over time, the same volume can be maintained with less hyaluronic acid. This ability of hyaluronic acid to bind to water is what helps Perlane® and Restylane® provide lasting results in Texas and elsewhere.
The difference between Perlane® and Restylane® is the size of their hyaluronic gel particles. Perlane® has larger particles, so it is used for deeper creases and folds that need a denser formulation. It is considered to be an ideal filler for the middle layer of your skin. Restylane®, on the other hand, is typically used for corrections in the upper layer.
Restylane® and Perlane® have been used in more than 3 million treatments in over 70 countries to correct a variety of wrinkles, and enhance the appearance of the lip border. The fillers are approved in the United States for the treatment of facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, which are the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth.
Dr. Joseph M. Perlman and the Advanced Plastic Surgery staff offer both Restylane® and Perlane® because the treatments are easy to administer and they achieve effective results. Patients from across Texas, particularly residents in and around Houston, are invited to book a consultation with our office so you can learn more about Perlane® and Restylane®.
Am I a Good Candidate for Perlane® and Restylane®?
If you are in good health and have realistic expectations about the procedure, then Perlane® and Restylane® may be right for you. You should also not be pregnant or breastfeeding. Many Restylane® and Perlane® patients choose the injections to get rid of facial wrinkles. Another benefit to Perlane® and Restylane® is that they add moisture to your skin, helping to “turn back the clock” on aging. The treatments can also be used to gain larger lips or cheeks.
What Is the Process for Perlane® and Restylane®?
Your Perlane® and Restylane® expert will inject the gel into your skin with a very fine needle. The treatments can be performed within an hour, which is why Perlane® and Restylane® are sometimes called “lunchtime procedures.” The results are instantaneous, producing a natural enhancement that is gentle and safe to the skin. The recovery time from Perlane® and Restylane® is minimal, and the results are immediate and can last for about six months.
What Are Perlane® and Restylane® Costs?
Like all dermal fillers, the cost of Perlane® and Restylane® will depend on how much of each gel is needed to get the job done. By meeting with the Advanced Plastic Surgery Centre team, you can discover what Perlane® and Restylane® prices would be for you. We will be happy to discuss the procedure with you in full.
