Rosacea
is a skin condition associated with facial flushing
and redness. Sun exposure can cause
the blood vessels to break and become inflamed. Besides
facial redness these patients have acne, enlarged oil
glands and visible facial blood vessels particularly
around the nose and cheeks. WC Fields was noted for his
big , red nose. The key to treatment of rosacea involves
reducing inflammation, redness, and prevent further sun
damage. In our practice, Intense
Pulsed Light (IPL) is
the cornerstone of therapy. In addition patients need
topical anti-inflammatory creams, as well as sunscreen,
